This book was published on the occasion of the exhibition CARNET DE BOLS at the Lavoir de Clamart (92), held from November 14 to 30, 2025. All the bowls presented in the exhibition are included in this volume.

À l’intention du bol – Travel journal at its center is an artist’s booklet bringing together twenty porcelain bowls, presented at actual size. Each bowl marks a stage in an inner journey, a fragment of an initiatory voyage whose guiding thread is clay and the elements that shape us.

This journal offers a poetic and sensitive passage, in which each bowl enters into dialogue with a short poem. These texts, in the manner of haiku, capture the essence of an emotion or a memory without ever describing it: they suggest, opening a space of silence, attention, and fullness.

The bowl, a simple and open form, becomes the center of gravity of the gesture. It is a site of free experimentation, a playground between mastery and surrender. Through the rotation of the wheel, through fire, through the hand, the material is transformed—and with it, the one who works it.

The book traces this intimate relationship between the earth and the potter, between gesture and intention. Each bowl reveals a singular light, a skin, a memory. Together, they form a coherent sequence, both plastic and meditative, in which porcelain becomes a mirror of time and movement.
